Dear Eric,
Earlier this week was Cyber Monday, the post-Thanksgiving practice in which various retailers offered a wide variety of online-exclusive bargains.
This year’s Cyber Monday broke the online shopping record by bringing in over $2 billion on a single day.
But if Harry Reid and his tax-and-spend cronies get their way in the next week, taxes could skyrocket just for the “privilege” of shopping online.
The Internet Sales Tax’s array of new regulations would force retailers to deal with upwards of 9,000 tax codes.
Online shopping would transform from one of the most attractive parts of our economy to one of the least.
The federal, state and local governments taxing everything in sight is the last thing average consumers need, especially when they’re already dealing with slow job creation and economic growth.
That’s why I hope you’ll click here at once to sign your emergency fax petition to just say NO to the Internet Sales Tax.
Demand that your Congressman and Senators vote against Harry Reid’s tax-and-spend scheme.
And remind them that if they don’t listen, it’s their jobs which their constituents might decide are a bad bargain.
Sincerely,
Gary Paumen, President
National League of Taxpayers
P.S. Harry Reid and his tax-and-spend allies, including some Republicans, plan to use the lame duck session to ram through new taxes, such as the Internet Sales Tax, with their last weeks in power.
So please, help the National League of Taxpayers defeat Harry Reid's schemes by clicking here to send your emergency fax petition to your Senators and Congressman at once.
