A new Congress has been seated, and it brings the prospect of perhaps, maybe, potentially, in a possible way doing something about the runaway federal deficits. And in other news, several New York area bridges are for sale, which you can acquire at a bargain price.

In 2009 while the USA was distracted by the housing debacle — housing regulations promulgated by Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA, aka Fannie Mae) and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC, aka Freddie Mac)
— the 2009-10 CONgress and Obama gained control of healthcare to redistribute wealth from earners to unskilled low income citizens.
If not repealed, this government virus will eventually morph into a "single-payer", government-run healthcare system. Doctors and hospitals will become de facto employees of government. No one will want to be a doctor anymore and all services will deteriorate.
U.S. healthcare will malfunction like the Veterans Administration. This is just one more example of the socialization of America.
Repeal Obama-Fraud!
Fox News, the Washington Post, the L.A. Times, and The Hill are all over this one, as they should be. It seems that BATFE’s William McMahon, who, as the agency's Assistant Deputy Director for Field Operations approved its catastrophic and deadly “Fast and Furious” operation, is being allowed to receive his six-figure federal paycheck for nearly half a year, while working full-time as investment bank J. P. Morgan’s executive director for global security and investments in the Philippines.
As the Washington Post reports, "McMahon was one of five ATF officials recently singled out in a congressional report on the botched gun operation. The report alleged that McMahon knew that no safeguards were in place to prevent a large number of guns from getting into Mexico, but he made no effort to stop them." Fox News says "The [double-dipping, two-paycheck] arrangement allows McMahon to retire [from the BATFE] in December with a full government pension."
Congressional investigators into the "Fast and Furious" debacle, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Rep. Darrel Issa (R-Calif.), have asked the BATFE to explain McMahon’s situation, but the agency has said only that McMahon is a full-time employee in the agency, in its Office of Professional Responsibility, no less.
The Justice Dept. badly needed a scapegoat to coverup this grandiose attempt to create an 'emergency' requiring MUCH MORE STRICT GUN CONTROL effectively relegating the 2nd Amendment to history and thereby decreasing or eliminating future citizen resistance against government oppression as it tightens its totalitarian grip on freedom.
These power-grabbers wait for another 'emergency' to finally eliminate the Right to Bear Arms, but if one compares our Right today with our Right in say, 1960, the gun-grabbers are slowly eliminating the Right just as wars and socio-progressive presidents with their "rubber-stamp" CONgresses have slowly curtailed freedom since 1885.
Diplomats and CIA bodyguards were killed by terrorists; the embassy's military defense was withdrawn 3 weeks before the terrorist attack by State dept. negligence, arrogance, and later typical government lies.
Multipe bogus reports lied to the CONgress and the media. Rep. Trey Gowdy(also) currently chairs a special committee to investigate this loss of American lives. It is speculated that Speaker John Bonehead (closet progressive) created the committee and put Trey Gowdy in charge to hide government failures from the public in an attempt to minimize political and financial liabilities.
Just as almost all government failures are caused by parasitic government employees unions, in this case government employees unions defrauded vets' healthcare processing and records to coverup union failures and hide government liability for veteran deaths. The only successful way to handle this disaster is to eliminate the Veterans Administration and enable private doctors and hospitals to treat vets. The bills for services rendered would be submitted to the Defense dept.'s new veteran healthcare billing section. This is one of many total failures caused by union workers who care only for their paychecks, pensions, and their own healthcare.
Speculation proposes that directives from the White House (possibly initiated by the president) required that Lois Lerner, government employee director of the Exempt Organizations Division of the Internal Revenue Service, delay and/or deny applications for 501c4 tax exempt status of professed "conservative-leaning" organizations. Obviously, since Obama and most Democrat Party card-carrying members are Socialists, and so-called conservative (talk conservative, vote liberal) organizations would attempt to persuade and influence voters to vote for "conservatives" in subsequent elections, thereby preventing Obama's attempt to destroy the economy and emerge as the new dictator of America. Given Obama's formative years and college socialist/communist cronies, the speculation smacks of truth.
The flood of illegal immigrants from Mexico, Central and South AmeriKa exemplifies the federal government's complete failure to ENFORCE existing immigration law/regulations. Existing law requires that all "illegals" be apprehended, detained, interviewed, judged, and resultant judgement is usually 98% of the illegals will be deported. These illegals financially strain the resources of the already over-burdened and indebted federal and state governments. Of course, government indebtedness is caused by excessive spending and the very execessive pay and benefits of government employees.
Specifically, the Defense Department’s excess property program “permits the Secretary of Defense to transfer, without charge, excess U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) personal property (supplies and equipment) to state and local law enforcement agencies.”
In total, the program has transferred $4.3 billion in equipment since its inception.

Personally, while Defense of the USA is the primary task for government, aggression against defenseless citizens is oppression using terrorism as the excuse to continue the destruction of freedom.

A federal judge on Thursday ordered the IRS to detail under oath how some of former agency official Lois Lerner’s emails went missing, as well as any potential methods for recovering them.
Judge Emmet Sullivan of the U.S. District Court in Washington gave the Internal Revenue Service exactly a month — until Aug. 10 — to file a report, which he demanded as part of a lawsuit from a conservative watchdog, Judicial Watch, against the agency.
Judicial Watch is seeking a wide range of documents from the IRS, including Lerner’s emails, as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. It has complained that the IRS didn’t tell it that the agency couldn’t recover all of Lerner’s emails from 2009 to 2011.
Sullivan cast his ruling as a compromise, and a potential way for Judicial Watch to get answers without the court wading any deeper into the matter. Judicial Watch had asked the court to potentially compel IRS officials to testify about the lost emails, through a process called limited discovery.
The FairTax is a consumption tax unilaterally applied to all Americans at the same rate. For businesses, payroll taxes would no longer exist. Our exports would include a heavy tax for overseas buyers purchasing our products, while our imports would be cheaper for us to purchase. I'm not sure how this would affect GDP, as more information is necessary.
According to the FairTax website, "Under the FairTax, every person living in the United States pays a sales tax on purchases of new goods and services, excluding necessities due to the prebate." The prebate gives every legal resident household an "advance refund" at the beginning of each month so that purchases made up to the poverty level are tax-free.
So a family of four making something like $50,000/year should not have to pay taxes, thus preventing an unfair burden on low-income families. Since the FairTax eliminates both federal and payroll taxes, you get to keep your gross pay amount of each paycheck earned.
John Adams said, “Without [term limits] every man in power becomes a ravenous beast of prey”. That being said, here are some of the reasons we believe our country needs Term Limits.
Term Limits can help break the cycle of corruption in Congress. Case studies show that the longer an individual stays in office, the more likely they are to stop serving the public and begin serving their own interests.
Term Limits will encourage regular citizens to run for office. Presently, there is a 94% re-election rate in the House and 83% in the Senate. Because of name recognition, and usually the advantage of money, it can be easy to stay in office. Without legitimate competition, what is the incentive for a member of Congress to serve the public? Furthermore, it is almost a lost cause for the average citizen to try to campaign against current members of Congress.
Term Limits will break the power special interest groups have in Congress.
Term Limits will force politicians to think about the impact of their legislation because they will be returning to their communities shortly to live under the laws they enacted.
Term Limits will bring diversity of people and fresh ideas to Congress.

Once you're elected, it's easy to steal from your campaign contributions or the Congressional budget allocated to your seat and staff.
