Sen. Rand Paul was right then, and President Trump is right now by pulling out of Syria. The goal was to cleanup the mess caused by 'W', McCain, and Graham
who supported arming an "opposition army" against Assad resulting in the creation of ISIS. Our armed forces should defend the USA. The only justified war since WWII was/is Afghanistan because of bin Laden but
we're still there. Even bin Laden could have been stopped in Sudan during Billy's administration, but he'd rather run a "pay-for-play" scam and, also, pay for a ficticious novel that slanders a 2016 opposition candidate.
It's time to evaluate the Pentagon and its people to determine their real goals. Are their goals consistent with Defense, or do they want to keep the bucks
flowing so they can incite war throughout the world?
Sen. Rand Paul is not qualified to be president.
At least, that’s what GOP establishment spokesman — and president wannabe — Bobby Jindal said last week.
And what did Paul do to disqualify himself? Have an affair? That doesn’t get one disqualified — see Bill Clinton. Run a pay-for-play scheme? That doesn’t get one disqualified — see Hillary Clinton.
Promote blanket amnesty for illegals? That doesn’t get one disqualified — see Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush. Bankrupt four companies? That’s a plus, apparently, because it gives one “business
credentials” — see Donald Trump. Hang out with terrorists? That doesn’t’ get one qualified — see Barack Obama. Fail to qualify under the Constitution’s “natural born citizen” clause? That doesn’t get
one disqualified either — see Obama,
Rubio and Ted Cruz.
No, what Paul did was utter a truth, or something too near it for the establishment’s liking, about the war party’s enabling of ISIS.
While appearing with Joe Scarborough on MSNBC last week, Paul laid the blame for the rise of ISIS at the feet of the GOP’s war hawks and neocons(also)(read John McCain and the presidential aspirants from chickenhawk Lindsey Graham to Cruz).
Scarborough suggested that Graham would say ISIS exists because of people like Paul, who said, “Let’s not go into Syria.”
Paul replied:
I would say it’s exactly the opposite. ISIS exists and grew stronger because of the hawks in our party, who gave arms indiscriminately, and most of those arms were snatched up by ISIS. These
hawks also wanted to bomb Assad, which would have made ISIS’s job even easier. They created these people. ISIS is all over Libya because these same hawks in my party loved — they loved Hillary Clinton’s war in
Libya. They just wanted more of it, but Libya’s a failed state, and it’s a disaster. Iraq really is a failed state, or a vassal state now of Iran. So everything that they’ve talked about in foreign policy, they’ve been wrong
about for twenty years, and yet they have somehow the gall to keep saying and pointing fingers otherwise.
But while Paul correctly indicts the neocon/perpetual war wing of his own party, he doesn’t go nearly far enough. It is official U.S. policy, and has been since at least 2012, that an Islamic State (ISIS) is desired in
Syria to affect the West’s policies in the region.
Now the GOP establishment has gone apoplectic and conservative talk radio is abuzz with callers from the Republican rank and file claiming that Paul has disqualified himself by bucking the party line.
I first told you about the true nature of ISIS last fall in “Assad is the target; ISIS is the excuse,” after connecting the dots from
several mainstream media reports about the Syria war.
I can hear you now, Republican voters.
“You’re a crazy conspiracy theorist, Bob. ISIS is just those radical Muslims doing what they do — beheading infidels and all that stuff. ISIS is Obama’s fault for pulling out of Iraq
and appearing weak. And those Muslims hate us because (insert latest meme here) and they’re just itching to come over here and behead us. We’ve got to go kill them over there before they come
kill us.” The regime’s propaganda machine and Republican “hawks” now running for the GOP nomination are promoting this theme ad nauseam.
But newly released classified documents paint a much different picture.
On May 18, Judicial Watch released formerly classified documents it obtained from the U.S. Department of Defense and the State Department. Brad Hoff of the Levant Report has combed through the documents looking beyond Judicial Watch’s agenda — which is to focus on the White House’s handling of the Benghazi attack — into the deep politics involved in the Middle East chaos. One of the documents states:
THE WEST, GULF COUNTRIES, AND TURKEY [WHO] SUPPORT THE [SYRIAN] OPPOSITION… THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING A DECLARED OR UNDECLARED SALAFIST PRINCIPALITY IN EASTERN SYRIA (HASAKA AND DER ZOR), AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE SUPPORTING POWERS TO THE OPPOSITION WANT, IN ORDER TO ISOLATE THE SYRIAN REGIME…
The declassified report from the Defense Intelligence Agency, dated Aug. 12, 2012, was sent to a number of government agencies including the CENTCOM, the CIA, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security,
the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the State Department. It shows that in 2012 U.S. intelligence predicted the rise of Islamic State in Iraq and saw it as a strategic asset to be used to cripple Syria’s
Bashar Assad.
The government just produced documents to Judicial Watch in response to a freedom of information
suit which show that the West has long supported ISIS. The documents were written by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency on August 12, 2012 … years before ISIS burst onto the world stage.
Hoff pulled out the following bullet points from the documents:
Al-Qaida drives the opposition in Syria.
The West identifies with the opposition.
The establishment of a nascent Islamic State became a reality only with the rise of the Syrian insurgency (there is no mention of U.S. troop withdrawal from Iraq as a catalyst for Islamic State’s rise, which is the
contention of innumerable politicians and pundits).
The establishment of a “Salafist Principality” in Eastern Syria is “exactly” what the external powers supporting the opposition want (identified as “the West, Gulf Countries, and Turkey”) in order to weaken the
Assad government.
“Safe havens” are suggested in areas conquered by Islamic insurgents along the lines of the Libyan model (which translates to so-called no-fly zones as a first act of “humanitarian war”).
Iraq is identified with “Shia expansion.”
A Sunni “Islamic State” could be devastating to “unifying Iraq” and could lead to “the renewing facilitation of terrorist elements from all over the Arab world entering into Iraqi Arena.” (See last non-redacted line in
full PDF view.)
Recall that it was McCain and his lapdog Graham who promoted arming so-called “moderate” Muslims opposing Syria, with McCain actually posing for photos with ISIS fighters in Syria. It was McCain and Graham
and their ilk who sought to use the specious claims by Obama that Assad had used poison gas on the opposition (when in fact it was found that it was the opposition that deployed the gas) to try and gin up support for
a U.S. attack on Syria. Recall that it was McCain and Graham and their neocon cohorts who backed — and in fact wanted to expand — Obama’s and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s war on Libya, which granted
ISIS an early launch pad and a conduit through which the CIA ran guns and funds to ISIS. (For a detailed review of how the Syrian mess was started, go
here.)
The criticism of McCain centers around how the Arizona senator met with Syrian rebel leaders in May 2013 when he visited the country. McCain posed for photographs with those people, and since then rumors have sprouted up across the Internet that he met with ISIS or some other terrorist kidnappers or nefarious forces.
“The people in the pictures with Senator McCain in Syria included General Salim Idris, then-Chief of Staff of the Supreme Military Command of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), Mouaz Moustafa, the Executive Director of the DC-based Syrian Emergency Task Force (which supports the moderate opposition and helped arrange some of the trip), and fighters and commanders from the Northern Storm Brigade, a FSA-aligned group,” McCain’s spokesman Brian Rogers told Breitbart News.
So Paul was both right and wrong, but he was more right than wrong and now he’s been declared “unqualfied.” The hawks in his party did support the policy to make ISIS stronger. But the arms weren’t given out indiscriminately. The war machine was very discriminating in locating former al-Qaida, and al Nusra Front and Muslim Brotherhood and anyone else they could find to advance their agenda.
It’s made for good business for the war machine. America is the world’s biggest arms dealer and the military-industrial complex is making a killing (figuratively and literally).
And the spying agencies are reaping a whirlwind as well, as government gains a tighter grip on Americans through NSA snooping, TSA traveler fondling, DHS checkpoints, FBI terrorist making, etc., all to make Americans clamor for increased security at the expense of their liberties.
For, as the New York Post editorial department posits as it chastises Congress for not passing a new (un)Patriot Act: “[T]he jihadis haven’t quit. Al Qaeda’s still out there, and ISIS is on the rise. If US counter-terror agents are stripped of these vital Patriot Act weapons, Americans will become sitting ducks. Again.”
And — gasp! — Paul wants to “scrap the anti-terror laws altogether.” Can’t have that. Osama bin Laden might rise from the grave one more time and take down another tower… or make a video or something.
And after all, we’ve been bombing “them” over there since at least 1991. And that policy has worked so well… for the banksters, the globalists and the military-industrial complex — not so much for America’s military men and women, the U.S. economy and those poor Middle Easterners/North Africans who have been beheaded, whose homes have been bombed and who have seen their loved ones killed and maimed on behalf of U.S., Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Israel and deep politics.
Weapons of Mass Bullsh*t (WMB)
[Editor's Note: what I have dubbed the "Legislative-Executive-Judicial Cabal" which the American People have caused by ignoring the generational transition from our Constitutional Republic to what now is, in effect, an "elected" dictatorship. Never mind who is elected. Never mind which bogus party is in power. The superficial, theatrically staged, choreographed appearance of debate, disagreement, and stalled legislation always resolves into more government and less FREEDOM. We the People still lose more freedom after every "emergency" or unnoticeably when CON-gress passes another general, open-ended law that enables the Executive (dictator) and its unaccountable agencies to formulate more freedom-restricting regulations (200 pages a day get posted to the Federal Register). The "Dictator's" agencies (police force) continue to pile-up more weapons to squelch uprising(s) when the People finally realize and understand their tyrannical government.
A Constitutional Convention is necessary to amend the Constitution for Congressional Term Limits to twelve (12) years and restrict time in DC to only six (6) months per year. Such an Amendment is only a FIRST step in restoring America to its Constitutional roots. Back in the day when the People still feared kings, the president's term was limited by Constitutional Amendment.
Currently, CONgress is just a group of socialists, progressives, and faux-conservatives (career politicians) that, on a daily basis, ignores the Constitution, many of their own past statutes, and cedes their responsibilities to the president ("elected" dictator). A comparison to the history of Rome becomes more and more credible with the Executive and its "featherbedded" lackeys gaining more power while CONgress sits back all fat-dumb-and-happy.
CONgress has made recent efforts to expose State Dept. failures in Benghazi (inept political leader), Fast-and-Furious gun-running (criminal AG), IRS 1st amendment violations, gov't union Veterans Administration fraud, and whining about Obama(Reid)-killer-Care, but these efforts are mostly politics as usual. Most "citizens" will forget about these infringements from our unaccountable, uncontrollable Executive branch with its tyrannical agencies staffed by socialist unions that extort "juicy" contracts from the "elected" dictatorship.
Most positions in the federal government whether elected, appointed, or hired are nominal, make-work jobs (confidentially) designed merely to grow government, bilk money from private businesses and citizens, and eventually fully transform America into a totalitarian state. When this happens, CONgress will have destroyed the economy and the country by their negligence and counter-liberty policies, and it will be almost impossible to Restore America. The 'Restore America' list is only a beginning too.]
Anyone who believes this country is free is an idiot!
Those who seek out positions of power tend to be paranoid, hypocritical wimps. Consider the issue of firearms. Politicians have many thousands of mercenaries (soldiers and "law enforcers") wielding all sort of deadly weapons--guns, tanks, missiles, drones, etc. Yet those same politicians pee themselves at the thought of the rabble owning semi-automatic rifles. From their twisted, elitist perspective, it's perfectly fine for them to swipe many billions of dollars from their subjects to spend on all manner of armaments, but if YOU want to possess a rifle, they think you should have to ask their permission, and register it, and make sure they always know what you own.
They also expect to be allowed to do things in secret, while claiming the right to spy on you and everyone else. As far as they are concerned, it's none of your business what they do, or what weapons they have, but it is their business to know everything that you do and everything that you have. Of course, they will pretend that their goal is to protect you from the "criminal element," but you'd have to be pretty dense to actually believe that. Why do you suppose they mostly whine about civilians having weapons that:
are used in only a tiny percentage of actual crime, and;
are the most effective types of weapon for resisting "government"
aggression?
You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. People who gravitate towards political office think they have the right to rule you. That's the job they applied for. And, of course, extorting you and bossing you around could be rather more difficult if you are better armed than their enforcers. So they hand out machine guns to their mindless thugs, but have tantrums about you having a 30-round magazine.
A new Congress has been seated, and it brings the prospect of perhaps, maybe, potentially, in a possible way doing something about the runaway federal deficits. And in other news, several New York area bridges are for sale, which you can acquire at a bargain price.

Becky Gerritson: "...government is out of control!" and "...our representative government has failed us."
A federal judge on Thursday ordered the IRS to detail under oath how some of former agency official Lois Lerner’s emails went missing, as well as any potential methods for recovering them.
Judge Emmet Sullivan of the U.S. District Court in Washington gave the Internal Revenue Service exactly a month — until Aug. 10 — to file a report, which he demanded as part of a lawsuit from a conservative watchdog, Judicial Watch, against the agency.
Judicial Watch is seeking a wide range of documents from the IRS, including Lerner’s emails, as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. It has complained that the IRS didn’t tell it that the agency couldn’t recover all of Lerner’s emails from 2009 to 2011.
Sullivan cast his ruling as a compromise, and a potential way for Judicial Watch to get answers without the court wading any deeper into the matter. Judicial Watch had asked the court to potentially compel IRS officials to testify about the lost emails, through a process called limited discovery.
The FairTax is a consumption tax unilaterally applied to all Americans at the same rate. For businesses, payroll taxes would no longer exist. Our exports would include a heavy tax for overseas buyers purchasing our products, while our imports would be cheaper for us to purchase. I'm not sure how this would affect GDP, as more information is necessary.
According to the FairTax website, "Under the FairTax, every person living in the United States pays a sales tax on purchases of new goods and services, excluding necessities due to the prebate." The prebate gives every legal resident household an "advance refund" at the beginning of each month so that purchases made up to the poverty level are tax-free.
So a family of four making something like $50,000/year should not have to pay taxes, thus preventing an unfair burden on low-income families. Since the FairTax eliminates both federal and payroll taxes, you get to keep your gross pay amount of each paycheck earned.
John Adams said, “Without [term limits] every man in power becomes a ravenous beast of prey”. That being said, here are some of the reasons we believe our country needs Term Limits.
Term Limits can help break the cycle of corruption in Congress. Case studies show that the longer an individual stays in office, the more likely they are to stop serving the public and begin serving their own interests.
Term Limits will encourage regular citizens to run for office. Presently, there is a 94% re-election rate in the House and 83% in the Senate. Because of name recognition, and usually the advantage of money, it can be easy to stay in office. Without legitimate competition, what is the incentive for a member of Congress to serve the public? Furthermore, it is almost a lost cause for the average citizen to try to campaign against current members of Congress.
Term Limits will break the power special interest groups have in Congress.
Term Limits will force politicians to think about the impact of their legislation because they will be returning to their communities shortly to live under the laws they enacted.
Term Limits will bring diversity of people and fresh ideas to Congress.
[Editor's Note: If you want to get rich, i.e. advance from a low paying government bureaucrat job on the local or state level, THEN GET ELECTED TO THE US CONGRESS (House or Senate). Once you're elected, it's easy to steal from your campaign contributions or the Congressional budget allocated to your seat and staff. You can go on a government-funded junket with 'lavishly' paid expenses. The list of ways to steal from the government while in office is inexhaustible. There are only a few Congressmen who left Congress just wealthy instead of a multi-millionaire. Of course, there are several who arrived in Congress as multi-millionaires and don't need to steal from the government.]
