The federal government has relegated the Constitution to history!

The USA must reverse the damage by cutting government size by at least 50%. Eliminate most Agencies and layoff bureaucrats!

The title is a familiar phrase that most voters have heard from the widely publicized so-called Republican candidate. Based on what we know about Donald Trump, his historical record does not exemplify the formal declaration of Republican ideals. However, no current Republican or past Republican since Calvin Coolidge (1923-1929) can claim that they have exemplified the Republican ideal. The Great Depression which began after Coolidge was caused by the Federal Reserve and loose credit just like the Great Recession in 2008.

Republicans revere Ronald Reagan as the greatest example of an elected President who followed thru on Republican ideals. Yet Reagan told CONgress to spend more money than they ever had essentially to expand government. Instead of getting government off our backs, Reagan increased its size by at least 25%.

Who said America isn�t great? If it isn�t, why? What is wrong with America? Apparently, many of us citizens believe that America is not great. Why?

Let me state what I think is wrong with America.

World armed forces were significantly depleted in World War I (WWI). The United States (US) believed like the rest of Europe that WWI was the war to end all wars. Europe was financially destroyed after WWI. Then, after World War II (WWII), most countries of the world were destroyed — financially and militarily — and bombardment had physically destroyed businesses and residences.

The United Nations (UN) was created for the purpose of providing a diplomatic venue for solving world problems without war or military battles. This laudable goal was only partially achieved, but the UN has become one of the most corrupt organizations in the world. The US funds 25% of the UN. Throughout the world if a territorial dispute between sovereign countries arises, the UN forum issues official sanctions and resolutions warning the territorial invader to withdraw or be forced to withdraw. The US, of course, is the enforcer of UN sanctions since no other countries of the world have military forces significant enough.

Since the US and the Soviet Union had the only remaining significant military forces after WWII, the US has accepted the responsibility of correcting all wrongs and expanding any form of democracy throughout the world by destroying opposing militaries and building new "democratic" nations. While people in general prefer peace and prosperity, there is always some group within a given country that wants total control.

The Soviet's have attempted to expand Socialism/Communism and that form of centralized, total economic control has absolutely failed throughout the world. The US alternatively has purchased products and services from and partnered with private enterprise similar to the National Socialists of NAZI Germany before and during WWII. The Constitution and the US form of government with its legal system held highly powerful politicians in check, and a once expanding lucrative, private economy with employment for the skilled and non-skilled helped make people prosperous and happy. Recent (last 60 years) US government policies have over-regulated and over-taxed private companies such that the economy can't grow and the creativity of startups is stifled.

The Feds have passed so many laws, created so many regulations (regs), and created so many departments and agencies that Americans don�t have enough time each day to comply with the regs. And taxes — the US has the highest corporate income tax in the world. Companies move offshore to escape the burdensome taxation that is a major part of their cost structure. Individuals and Corporations expend many hours each year filing Tax Returns and the cost of the wasted time expended by people and businesses runs in the billions of dollars of lost time. The Income Tax for all is most inefficient, and the idea of the tax originated with the Communist Manifesto, Teddy Roosevelt, and Woody Wilson. The combination of regs, taxes, and wasted time, not to mention a lack of skilled labor, excessive national debt, and the general world situation is a very serious impediment to growth.

For the first time in US history, the CONgress created a stealth tax increase via the Affordable Care Act (ACA). CONgress wrote the law with 16 tax increases on businesses and citizens, defining the individual tax increase as a fine or Individual Mandate to pay a large fine for not buying health insurance. States sued the Feds, but the Supreme Court redefined the Individual Mandate as a TAX. Because of the law�s onerous requirements, insurance companies cancelled many existing policies and created new compliant policies the premiums of which are 20-50% more than before the ACA. Further, in a Socialist, Central Planning fashion, the law creates a market for health insurance rather than allowing the private market to offer and sell competitvely priced policies.

The following will make America great again:

• I think the goal of the UN is needed, but I think US financial support should decrease for reason(s) that the 1945 WWII formerly devastated world has recovered and competes heavily with the US today, so they can pay more and the US should pay less, say, 10%. Also, regardless of the EU's near future economic failure, the EU member countries of NATO should — today — pay much more for their own defense against possible Russian or Terrorist invasions. NATO was created shortly after WWII when the Soviet Union existed and invaded Eastern Europe and converted those countries into satellite states.
• The US must stay completely out of all military conflict in the world unless the US is attacked or proven, real evidence demonstrates imminent attack of US interests. Most other countries follow this rule why not the US? The UN can look for military forces elsewhere. The US' WWII stance against Soviet incursions worldwide is an obsolete policy. This is secondary to the development of an effective defense/offense against terrorism using the troops of the foreign countries who are most affected by terrorist attacks in TODAY's world. Foreign troops will free their own country from terrorism using weaponry, logistics, and intelligence supplementing their facilities or wholly provided by US sources. No US boots will ever be on the ground in a foreign country except to destroy countries who attacked the US.

  Editor's Note: A good example of how politicians in the past generated support for War that had little foundation other than the over-protective leadership of a newly independent United States is presented in this detailed, eye-opening historical acccount of 19th century wars and whether actions by our politicians protected our freedom and sovereignty and whether actions by foreign entities effected our freedom. Our history has evolved the U.S. into a nation living day-to-day with the potential for war.

• The US spends trillions on bases overseas. These monies prop-up or helps these foreign economies. Bases should be sold to the country in which they reside with the contractual arrangement to continue housing significantly smaller US troop deployment. US forces should consist of at least 20 more aircraft carrier groups/submarines to enable a presence in all seas with 3-6 month rotations, and drones taking-off and landing on carriers to gather information and prepare and knowing in advance for future attacks only against America, its offshore businesses, and those foreign countries critical to balances of power in regions. NEVER prop-up a dictator and NEVER support tyrannical countries. Eliminate all foreign subsidies.
• Repeal the 16th Amendment (income tax), disband the IRS and rely on excises and user fees both domestically and internationally. If more revenue is required, establish a sales tax (not a VAT) with rate no greater than 10% only for additional revenue and reguiring a public referendum of all voters to increase the tax percentage. Food or medical care will not be taxed. Poor people can obtain financial aid from their local government as specified below with the welfare topic. The Progressive Era, 1894-1914, influenced by Karl Marx and Socialists in Europe, drastically changed AmeriKa and began altering the general thought of citizens. The Great Industrialists (negatively assigned the derisive moniker "Robber Barons") built the United State of America into the greatest financial and industrial country in the world. The Progressives and Spiteful Socialists became very envious and wanted a method to legally steal from the America's wealthy people — not just the very rich but anyone who EARNED monies greater than, say, $5,000 per annum.
• Repeal the Federal Reserve Act, restore the Gold Standard reflecting today's value. Nixon in 1971 refused to redeem dollars in gold thereby ending Bretton-Woods. Nixon created the petrodollar system which eventually resulted in most international financial transactions conducted in USD. Reestablishing a Gold Standard may end the petrodollar system. The U.S.'s oil supply is no longer depleted as it was in 1971-1974. However, the fact that most international financial transactions occur in USD is a powerful advantage for the U.S. Other foreign countries may convert to their own version of the gold standard or not. The FED provides government the facility to borrow money for our current War/Welfare State. The Gold Standard was too restrictive for Progressives who wanted more money-from-thin-air ("rubber bucks") to wage wars and provide for the Socialist dole in AmeriKa and the world.

  Editor's Note: The populace went overboard to the extreme in 1900-1913 when Progressives (Socialists) spearheaded by two presidents — Theodore Roosevelt and especially Woodrow Wilson both who regularly violated Executive Branch Constitutional limits. During Roosevelt's era, the rubber stamp CONgress submitted a Resolution in 1909 proposing the 16th Amendment to the Constitution, passed the resolution, and forwarded to States (read income tax history here).

  Woodrow Wilson signed the 16th Amendment into law and the Federal Reserve Act. Roosevelt strongly supported the States' ratification of the 16th Amendment which Wilson signed into law along with the Federal Reserve Act. The history of the ratification process is fraught with statements and publications of fraud throughout the process. Greedy politicians and envious socialists have no right to funds earned by any private citizen.

  Another 13 year disaster was voted into law by CONgress (overriding Wilson's veto). The Volstead Act after 13 years of lawless violence was repealed in 1933.

  The last five presidents and rubber stamp CONgresses have found much more wasteful and corrupt uses for money-from-thin-air. The FED has devalued the currency so much by electronically generating "money-from-thin-air" that everything costs 20,000% more than in 1913 when this abomination was created or 25% more just since 2000. The liquidity of capital is the major cause of the "boom-bust cycle" that the US economy experiences today. The normal business cycle comprises booms and recessions, and the FED exacerbates this cycle by manipulating the cost of money. There will be no central bank and if individual banks make bad investments they will fail. The same goes for companies who don't remain current with their products. It behooves banks and companies to make careful, prudent, conservative investments that control risk. Banks will not report any transaction to the Feds unless with probable cause and a warrant a local government finds evidence of criminal activity.
• The Feds per the Constitution will still regulate Interstate Commerce but without legislating morality. Many bogus laws were passed by CONgress using the Commerce Clause as the foundation for the atrocity of unintended consequences. Many of these laws have nothing to do with Interstate Commerce. A few were rejected by the Supreme Court.
• Repeal all laws restricting American financial activities either domestically or internationally.
• Repeal all laws defining the various agencies keeping only the Departments of State, Defense, Justice and Treasury. Amend the laws to legally and forcefully restrict the CIA and NSA to only the purpose for which they were created. Implement strong financial controls for all remaining, absolutely necessary departments and agencies to prevent fraud and/or pilferage. Other agencies like EPA, FDA, FAA, or SEC might be necessary but with very strict controls on their mission statements and funding. The logical funding for these agencies would come from the various industries that are regulated by the agencies with a quarterly report of activities and prosecutions. Fraudulent buying favor from an agency is legally prohibited. Essentially, agencies should ONLY act to specifically enforce remaining laws.

  As a point of comment only, the Department of Agriculture which should go as stated above has long out lived its usefulness. Today's agricultural world comprises large corporations rather than the Family Farm of 1933. The USDA's budget is (was) primarily Food Stamps. Farm corps don't need the subsidies and government operatives don't need the kickbacks. Another department, i.e., Education does nothing for students or the dilapidated physical structures where students attend. School Administrators get rich on Fed money while students — those brave enough to attend — experience bullies, drugs and disruption in the classroom all while teachers work with unions to increase their paychecks and uncaringly dream of the day's end so they can go home. Schools should ALL become private. The current amount of School Tax from each parent can instead pay tuition.

• Repeal the ACA (Obamacare) and all government interference in markets. FREE MARKETS are the best regulator and consumers can best decide which business is best for them. Insurance companies can provide insurance for medical companies that treat those who cannot afford insurance.
• NO WELFARE EXCEPT FOR INDIGENT CITIZENS unable to work. All able-bodied citizens must work and/or further educate themselves to handle new technology. Welfare payments and any other assistance both financial and interventions for indigents will be handled only by local governments. Welfare on a federal level must be repealed. Repeal Social Security Disability.
• Repeal Social Security and Medicare depositing all received funds plus 3% compounded daily interest into individual accounts. Revise laws to prevent any withdrawal from accounts until the individual owner ages to at least 65 years. Accounts will be handled by banks or investment brokers. If an account owner dies before age 65, the balance of the account will be transferred to heirs by the usual legal process according to the deceased's Last Will and Testament.
• Sell unneeded federal properties at a fair, appraised price that is profitable for government. Use the proceeds to pay down the massive $19.5 Trillion national debt. Pass a voted proportional direct tax (Constitution) to pay the remaining debt over five years. After payoff, the tax will be repealed (unlike every other tax today).
• Pass a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. Allow some flexibility for war (only as deined above) in the form of proportional direct taxes.
• Repeal ALL War Powers Acts and prevent all war except those declared by CONgress per request by the President. Today, War Powers are used by presidents for silly reasons unrelated to attacks against US.
• Present all new laws to the legal industry for review and comment since CONgresses cannot be trusted with their primary responsibility (to spend or not). The purpose is to prevent the passage of unneeded laws that were prompted by lobbyists or other financially powerful 'think tanks'. Many laws were passed that create unintended consequences. The legal community's analysis of laws not yet subitted to the full CONgress for pasage will require very specific wording completely devoid of generaliztions. ALL future laws must be very clearly stated with highly specific language so that remaining Executive Branch Departments can write ONLY very specific regulations to enforce a highly specifically worded law. NO new law will restrict freedom and liberty in anyway as defined by the Bill of Rights. ALL old laws no longer applicable, not meeting these criteria for passage, or duplicative must be repealed.
• Rescind or revise all regulations to focus on the exact meaning of remaining written laws that the regs are meant to enforce. NO MORE GENERALIZED, UNRELATED REGULATIONS.
• Repeal all existing gun ownership control laws. These laws are a violation of the 2nd Amendment and violent offenders will die by police or citizens defending their life and property. Violent offenders who don't die will serve LONG sentences (25 years or more with NO extenuating circumstances) in prisons for violent offenders. No more weak sentences for violence of any kind. Of course, self-defence, any time any place, is justified as long as self-defense is corroborated.
• Repeal all Controlled Substances laws. Any pharmacy with authorization from their state of residence may sell formerly "controlled substances" just like private marijuana stores in states. The drugs will be taxed and highly controlled like the State Stores in formerly Dry States managed and controlled alcohol (but without corruption and bribery). Interstate pharmacies will also pay taxes to the Feds. This action will decrease drug crime (see this!) on the streets and significantly lower drug prices so fewer users will need to steal. Local governments will require expanded treatment facilities for detoxification.
• Repeal all Asset Forfeiture laws and ALL future civil forfeiture REQUIRES ajudicated warrants and trials against criminals using today's forensic evidence collecting. Accused offenders MUST be found guilty in a court of law. The cost of all federal, state and local government legal actions will be borne by parties involved or by the government if parties have no resources. Government at all levels have perverted laws meant to weaken criminal enterprise into semi-legal excuses to STEAL from average private citizens instead of Criminal Enterprise. It is hoped that the Drug Trafficking Enterprises of the past will eventually disappear when drugs become readily available at your local pharmacy.

Joseph Story, Supreme Court Justice
... when the court wasn't part of the L-E-J Cabal

Joseph Story (1779�1845) was born during the American Revolution, and came of age in the early years of the new United States of America. He was a scholar of the U.S. Constitution, and, eventually helped found the Harvard Law School.

In 1811, Story was appointed to the Supreme Court by President James Madison � who knew a few things about the U.S. Constitution, in that he helped write it. Story was a contemporary of another famous member of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice John Marshall (1755�1835).

In 1833, Justice Story published a study titled, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States. In a discussion of the Second Amendment, Story stated:

"The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them."

[Editor's Note: what I have dubbed the "Legislative-Executive-Judicial Cabal" which the American People have caused by ignoring the generational transition from our Constitutional Republic to what now is, in effect, an "elected" dictatorship. Never mind who is elected. Never mind which bogus party is in power. The superficial, theatrically staged, choreographed appearance of debate, disagreement, and stalled legislation always resolves into more government and less FREEDOM. We the People still lose more freedom after every "emergency" or unnoticeably when CON-gress passes another general, open-ended law that enables the Executive (dictator) and its unaccountable agencies to formulate more freedom-restricting regulations (200 pages a day get posted to the Federal Register). The "Dictator's" agencies (police force) continue to pile-up more weapons to squelch uprising(s) when the People finally realize and understand their tyrannical government.

FROM Project to RESTORE AMERICA

The FairTax is a consumption tax unilaterally applied to all Americans at the same rate. For businesses, payroll taxes would no longer exist. Our exports would include a heavy tax for overseas buyers purchasing our products, while our imports would be cheaper for us to purchase. I'm not sure how this would affect GDP, as more information is necessary.

According to the FairTax website, "Under the FairTax, every person living in the United States pays a sales tax on purchases of new goods and services, excluding necessities due to the prebate." The prebate gives every legal resident household an "advance refund" at the beginning of each month so that purchases made up to the poverty level are tax-free.

So a family of four making something like $50,000/year should not have to pay taxes, thus preventing an unfair burden on low-income families. Since the FairTax eliminates both federal and payroll taxes, you get to keep your gross pay amount of each paycheck earned.

Why Do We Need Term Limits?

John Adams said, �Without [term limits] every man in power becomes a ravenous beast of prey�. That being said, here are some of the reasons we believe our country needs Term Limits.

1. Term Limits can help break the cycle of corruption in Congress. Case studies show that the longer an individual stays in office, the more likely they are to stop serving the public and begin serving their own interests.
2. Term Limits will encourage regular citizens to run for office. Presently, there is a 94% re-election rate in the House and 83% in the Senate. Because of name recognition, and usually the advantage of money, it can be easy to stay in office. Without legitimate competition, what is the incentive for a member of Congress to serve the public? Furthermore, it is almost a lost cause for the average citizen to try to campaign against current members of Congress.
3. Term Limits will break the power special interest groups have in Congress.
4. Term Limits will force politicians to think about the impact of their legislation because they will be returning to their communities shortly to live under the laws they enacted.
5. Term Limits will bring diversity of people and fresh ideas to Congress.

Term limits for lawmakers: when is enough, enough?

[Editor's Note: If you want to get rich, i.e. advance from a low paying government bureaucrat job on the local or state level, THEN GET ELECTED TO THE US CONGRESS (House or Senate). Once you're elected, it's easy to steal from your campaign contributions or the Congressional budget allocated to your seat and staff. You can go on a government-funded junket with 'lavishly' paid expenses. The list of ways to steal from the government while in office is inexhaustible. There are only a few Congressmen who left Congress just wealthy instead of a multi-millionaire. Of course, there are several who arrived in Congress as multi-millionaires and don't need to steal from the government.]

CONVENTION of STATES (CoS)

The CONgress (by Article V of the Constitution) has proposed and States have ratified many new amendments to the Constitution, some that increase their power over us citizens. CONgress can propose amendments, and the alternative method to CONgressional proposals can come from States via Article V. When "We the People" — meaning a very large majority — are opposed to Acts of CONgress like the INCOME TAX or ENDLESS WARS or the FEDERAL RESERVE, Acts that restrict and regulate our LIBERTY, Acts that are a waste of money, Acts that have caused unrecoverable indebtedness, then through local representaatives of our States WE can propose Amendments to be ratified by States just like CONgress.

STATES and the PEOPLE of America are very angry at the federal goverment's violation of its constitutionally-defined boundaries. States created the federal government in 1787 with LIMITED powers defined in the Constitution. All powers not given by States to the feds remain with the States by Article X. The feds have through deceit, distortion, and falsification rearranged the entire contractual agreement between States and the federal government. The feds have become a very powerful, all consuming force in American government. The time has come for States to rein in the federal government, to take power back, to limit the federal government's power, and to add some detailed restriction to the definition of CONgress, the Executive, and the Judiciary.

In 1787 a central government was (is) necessary only to provide for the common defense and ensure equality under the law for all Citizens, to provide a final arbiter for the resolution of unsolvable problems among States and People. Most laws and regulations that the federal government has wreaked on the States and the People are unconstitutional. States are independent, sovereign countries who realized the need for a limited and defined central government to prevent wasteful duplication of effort. The federal government, in 2017, is OUT OF CONTROL, infringing and interfering with State sovereignty and their separate economies. A problem arose in 2012 with Arizona's attempt to secure their border with Mexico. An article is here. States can prevent infringements by the federal government with an Aricle V Convention of States to not only reverse past federal government "power grabs" but prevent future federal government violations of their Constitutionally-defined boundaries.

A new, well-organized group of volunteers in all 50 states have gathered to restore America to its roots by limiting all 3 branches of the federal government with a Convention of States (CoS) organization (alternate site, CoS Action). This is a Convention of States to AMEND the Constitution — NOT rewrite it! Recently, CoS held an Article V, Convention simulation with appointed volunteers from all 50 States. The simulated Convention demonstrated how a well-organized CoS can vote for proposed amendments to the Consitution that are popular enough to be ratified by the necessary 3/4ths of States (38). Obviously, only proposed Amendments that are likely to pass both Houses of the legislatures of thirty-eight (38) States, that is, the required 3/4ths of States to ratify an Amendment to the Constitution should be proposed. See the Final Report here. The purpose in a Convention of States, simulated or real, is to PROPOSE AMENDMENTS that give power back to the People. The proposed amendments must reflect the thinking, objectives — the goals of people of States — who want to restore our Constitutional Republic to one that represents the people.

A real CoS, requires that 2/3rds of States (34) send an "application" to CONgress requesting that CONgress schedule a CoS. State Legislatures are composed of an Assembly and Senate. Each "house" must pass a bill separately and send the resolution to their Governor. Then the State sends an "application" to the CONgress. When the federal CONgress receives applications from 34 States, the CONgress is required to set a date for the Convention of States. CONgress is NOT involved otherwise. The States have the Convention, propose amendments, and dispatch the precisely worded amendments to their respectives assemblies and senates for ratification. CONgress only schedules the Convention.
