The article below, posted on Daily Signal, is one more example of the failure of Socialism. The ONLY way Socialism can be "successful" (depends on definition) is if the leaders permit the
people of their country to own, buy and sell products and services (capitalism) that enable the government to parasitically live off the host (people). This explanation applies to all governments throughout
the world. The primary difference is how tightly a given government controls their "golden goose".
The usual controls consist of taxes, both income and excise, and regulations enforced by guns. With
typical Socialism and Communism, the government owns either partially or totally the means of production. Capitalist, Socialist, and Communist governments can relax or tighten controls depending on
whether the people continue to comply with their government's demands or whether the given Parasite's leaders want to enhance their wealth. In the U.S., the primary controls are enforced by
"independent" agencies ("Deep State") that enforce regulations anyway they want, and the propagandized "rule of law" or "nation of laws" enforced by the corrupt DOJ/FBI.
Editor's Note: Venezuela is an example of REALLY bad governmental management. The clowns-in-charge nationalized all industry and took away all economic freedom. Almost the only
industry Venezuela had was the petroleum industry, and when the price of oil dropped due to the flood of oil on the market (supply and demand), national income fell. Hugo Chavez nationalized many
petroleum related industries (then died) which began the destruction of Venezuela. Maduro is just as ignorant of economics as Chavez, and Maduro has increased the level of enforcement with guns. The economy
will FAIL soon.
Venezuela's example is a horrific failure. Their economy depended primarily on the taxation of oil-producing companies. When oil company revenues fell along with taxes because of a worldwide oil glut,
Hugo Chavez duped the people by (popularly) promising a government "gravy-train" to replace the money lost from job layoffs. Chavez nationalized the oil companies. ALL socialist, communistic or autocratic
countries fail eventually when the economy fails or when the autocrat(s) die and the people decide they want a free market. Democratic Socialism is just another ploy to mislead gullible people into being
controlled by the same ol' scam. Nothing is FREE!
Sen. Bernie Sanders and congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are popularizing the philosophy of democratic socialism, especially among younger age groups.
Meanwhile, the Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) are gaining influence on college and high school campuses, claiming to have organizing activities planned at more than 250 campuses across
the nation.
The YDSA website describes the group�s vision as �a humane social order based on popular control of
resources and production, economic planning, equitable distribution, feminism, racial equality and non-oppressive relationships.�

So, a majority of Democrat Socialists plan and decide what is "popular", then the party's nobility foists the results of their planning on the people. Hmm, sounds like Obamacare where the unpopular people paid
for the popular people. "Popular control of resources and production" sounds like the USSR or Venezuela except the "popularity" fizzled after their "hopeful" (and very violent) beginnings. Also,
"popularity" sounds like Obama's "hope and change".
The BEST Determiners of what is and is not 'popular' are consumers, i.e., citizens/voters/buyers. Individuals who are citizens of the USA decide what to buy from the myriad of competitive products and services.
The winner of the competition is the non-government, private producer of the product that works best with the lowest price. These same citizens decide the best, most honest, qualified politician for which to vote
and who will represent their State of residence in CONgress and vote to cut the massive national debt. Also, private enterprise companies in our relatively free market economy decide how resources and production
will be used to produce products that consumers want. If consumers don't want a specific product, then a given company will improve the product or discontinue its manufacture.
Actually, Democrat Socialism might be a naive attempt to make life in a capitalist country more positive, i.e., a successful life in a capitalist country depends entirely on the independent individual. If one chooses a
profession, educates oneself, feels the pain of errors and learns from one's mistakes, works hard to succeed, makes good decisions about purchases and investments (more learning), then finally, one will be a
successful INDIVIDUAL in a capitalist country. Of course, if you are just out of diapers still being hugged by Mommy and Daddy, this capitalist life looks very scary and very negative. You'd rather have a Socialist
government take care of you in this very frightful capitalist world (even though, contradictorily, a Market Economy supports Socialists).
If you're a youngster and choose the capitalist route and become successful, somewhere along the way you will be confidently self-assured and happy that you chose the right path, however, if you choose to let
a Socialist government "take care of you", then you will never feel the self-assuredness of successful individuality. There is no such thing as "FREE" anything. Some group of people must pay taxes for the results of
Socialists' "popular planning". Eventually, the taxpayers say "bye bye" and leave just like the citizens of high tax States in the USA moving to low tax States. Also, eventually, the "popular planning" based on the
party "geniuses's" absolute power (corrupts absolutely) will destroy the economy because the government will run out of other people's money to paraphrase Maggie Thatcher.

Also, it should be noted that, generally, people in high tax states are usually liberal or even socialist because they either wanted higher taxes or just ignored the impending economic disaster perpetrated by their
"representatives" in their state CONgress. People in low tax states are usually conservative, freedom-loving people who despise massive government overreach and excessive government power that always becomes
intolerable. So, it is possible that liberals/socialists moving from high tax states to low tax states could dilute the voter population resulting in the election of Socialists to power in their low tax state. This eventuality
is occurring in Arizona and will probably occur in Texas since movers are arriving and currently Texas has one of the most robust low tax economic environments with no income tax.
Many on the right question this vision, pointing to countries such as Venezuela and Cuba as examples of socialist disasters. Democratic socialists claim those countries implemented socialism �incorrectly� or
that other factors are to blame.
They prefer to cite Norway, Sweden, and Denmark as examples of socialist
success. There are, however, several key problems with that.
First, these countries are not technically socialist. By the YDSA�s definition, socialism entails a centrally planned economy with nationalized means of production. Although these countries have high income
taxes and provide generous social programs, they remain prosperous because of their free-market economies.
Denmark ranks as the 10th most economically free country in The Heritage Foundation�s Index of Economic Freedom, which cites free-market policies and regulatory efficiency
as reasons for the high standard of living. Sweden is ranked 15th and Norway 23rd, both with similar descriptions of thriving private sectors and open markets.
These three countries are clearly not operating under centrally planned economies, or their economic freedom scores would be significantly lower.
Second, the success of these countries is clearly based on a capitalist foundation, and it predates the expansion of social programs. Sweden, for example, became a wealthy country in the mid-20th century under a capitalist system with low tax rates.
Social programs and high tax rates were not implemented until the 1970s, which caused the economy to significantly underperform and unemployment to rise.
In recent years, Sweden has been privatizing socialized sectors, such as education and health care, cutting tax rates, and making welfare less generous. Even though tax rates and government spending
remains comparatively high, open-market policies generate the revenue to support the spending.
Finally, these countries are largely homogeneous and have a culture that is conducive to a large welfare state. Scandinavians are described as hardworking citizens with extremely high levels of social trust and cohesion.
By contrast, America is a much larger country with lower levels of social trust, and therefore, a comparison is difficult to assess. Norway, Denmark, and Sweden are not democratic socialist countries that the
U.S. can be accurately compared with, and could be better described as �compassionate capitalists.�
As such, the �democratic socialists��as they define socialism�are left with no successful examples of their vision, only disastrous ones.

productive employees are rewarded and disruptive (incivil, impolite, political, criminal) or non-productive employees are fired.
This capitalist world is viewed negatively by children whose parents and schools haven't taught them to be self-reliant
adults and learned right from wrong. Parents and teachers fail to emphasize the positive, curious and interested behaviors of
learning and/or fail to punish children who lie, under-perform, or commit violent acts. The real world punishes liars and violent
people. The real world rarely rewards successful people except those who achieve desirable goals. The real reward is a
positive, internal feeling of a job well done, the feeling after working hard of the fruition, the accomplishment of a complex task.
Our world mostly negatively reinforces when employees do work that is expected of them so that the boss will stop
micro-managing them, or people, in general, handle responsibilities to avoid the negative repercussions of the failure
to handle their life. Over years of performing well, employees will get promotions and raises as recognition of a good job,
and individuals who perform life's duties responsibly can become wealthy in a capitalist country.
So, there it is: Nothing is FREE!

Freedom is a black-or-white, yes-or-no, either/or, zero-sum proposition. There are no gray areas or lukewarmness when it comes to freedom.
But the concept of freedom of the individual, or individual liberty, has been shoved down the memory hole and replaced by a popular mentality
of diminishing the individual and independent thinker to a collectivist mind (mentality) which can be esoterically swayed, directed and channeled against his own best interest. The virtue
and sanctity of the individual person and ego is no more, and anathema to the state.
What does it all mean? It means that a state of mind is developed and nurtured that freely gives oneself and one�s production to the state. Each
individual, in order to be a good citizen of the state, must contribute most of his means and be grateful for the services the state returns — whether they are necessary or useful or not.
The result is that even so-called conservatives have come to not only accept socialism but to embrace it in many forms. Oh, they�ll reject it when
it�s called what it is, as conservatives have chimed in to reject and ridicule proposals by self-avowed socialists like Bernie Sanders and the new communist darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
But they readily accept socialism in its many forms, especially when it�s proposed by socialists masquerading as Republicans.

I recommend two (2) movies for interested viewers. If Democrat voters (or any voter) want to understand what is wrong with their
party, I recommend a documentary movie that contains a completely corroborated history of the Democrat Party. The documentary's title is:
Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party. The documentary was produced by Dinesh D'Souza who was 'railroaded' by the Obama Administration into a
kangaroo court controlled by a corrupt judge and sentenced to prison for producing another documentary,
2016: Obama's America. All FACTS presented in these documentaries are the historical evidence of the failure of the Democrat Party although the Democrats have many allies that support these Communist/Socialist attempts to destroy
America, and no group of FAKE NEWS companies can deny the FACTS.

While America has a Constitution that guarantees freedom of speech, it doesn't guarantee an everyday political education. If Americans believe in their freedoms guaranteed by the
Bill of Rights, if Americans believe that Capitalism is the greatest creator of individual wealth the world has ever experienced (historical facts prove this assertion), then Americans
should know the people and organizations who want to destroy America from within. Therefore, the best documentary available that exposes and identifies these enemies who have grown
much stronger since the Russian Revolution is The Enemies Within.
Also near the end of The Enemies Within documentary, the video requests that citizens call their Senators and Representatives (those NOT affiliated with the Muslim
Brotherhood and other subversive Marxist organizations) to support
S. 68: Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2017 and
H.R. 377: Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2017.

Social Security (SS) monies flow into the Feds via paycheck withholding. The Feds buy
US Treasuries and the Bond purchase money is deposited into the treasury. Benefit money
must therefore be paid out of the Treasury. If there had been a SS brokerage account
(instead of the Feds spending it), the monies could have been invested very conservatively
to receive a modest 5-8% annual return on investment and the SS "Trust" Fund would
be solvent even with retiring baby-boomers. Another mismanagement failure is SS Disability
which has been defrauded by mendacious citizen malingerers especially from 2000 to 2016.

Joseph Story, Supreme Court Justice ... when the court wasn't part of the L-E-J Cabal
Joseph Story (1779�1845) was born during the American Revolution, and came of age in the early years of the new United States of America. He was a scholar of the U.S. Constitution, and, eventually helped found the Harvard Law School.
In 1811, Story was appointed to the Supreme Court by President James Madison � who knew a few things about the U.S. Constitution, in that he helped write it. Story was a contemporary of another famous member of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice John Marshall (1755�1835).
"The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them."

Most "citizens" will forget about these infringements from our unaccountable, uncontrollable Executive branch with its tyrannical agencies staffed by socialist unions that extort "juicy" contracts from the "elected" dictatorship.
Most positions in the federal government whether elected, appointed, or hired are nominal, make-work jobs (confidentially) designed merely to grow government, bilk money from private businesses and citizens, and eventually fully transform America into a totalitarian state. When this happens, CONgress will have destroyed the economy and the country by their negligence and counter-liberty policies, and it will be almost impossible to Restore America. [Editor's Note: a Constitutional Convention is required to reverse the damage to freedom and liberty since 1900. This Article V was ratified by the participants at America's founding Constitutional Convention as an alternate path for repairing damage to freedom and liberty, a path for the People to restore damage caused by our failed representatives in the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches of a government designed to represent the wishes of We the People.
The States must "demand" a Convention and explicitly specify an agenda of:
laws to be repealed or modified,
Amendments to existing constitutional clauses that define the co-equal branches to further specify and define, and
new Amendments or statutes to be eventually ratified by States.
These Amendments should further specify and clarify the powers of the Legislature and Executive Branches. A good example is the definition of a "Bill".
A Bill should contain ONLY verbiage in regards to the topic of the future law. NO earmarks and NO unrelated sections or attacments.
Many past Bills sent to a president for signature contained unrelated but essential funding sections that rendered the Bill veto-proof when it warranted a veto.
CON-gress can override a veto if the Bill is deemed absolutely necessary by CON-gress.
If the Bill requires SPECIFICALLY related amendments, the CON-gress can "debate" (with its usual theater) and vote any new amendments.
The original text of the Constitution contains some very GENERAL clauses enabling both CON-gress and Executive branches to write laws and
regulations with their particular nuances expanding powers beyond intent. "Intent" may be gleaned from a complete understanding of
Federalist Papers.
An example of further specification and clarity for CON-gress should be a clear, very specific definition of the boundaries for the interstate Commerce Clause.
To restore freedom, liberty, and individuality - minimally these must be repealed:
Currently, even with computer-searching systems, the list of antiquated and/or obsolete statutes (and related regulations) is unwieldy.
These statutes must be invalidated unless there remains an applicable reason for retaining the law(s).
Aside from invalidating statutes, there are many regulations that are biased in favor of large enterprises (who buy support from bureaucrats)
at the expense of the competition, effectively repressing the Free Market. Any regulations not related to public safety that gives a financial advantage
to some companies over their smaller rivals must be rescinded to enable all companies with good consumer products to excel without burdensome regulations.
Additionally, the Convention should adopt for ratification at least these new Amendments or statute modifications:
clearly define and limit the role of government in regards to the term "general welfare",
Term Limits for CON-gress (12 years) including a 6 month limit on time residing in DC,
strict Prohibition of Lobbying (with a comprehensive definition of "lobbying"), and
a Balanced Budget Amendment to stop wreckless spending. During a CON-gressionally declared "war" (only after USA is attacked or attack is proven "imminent"),
deficit spending is permissible.
Restore America to its roots, i.e. Defense, State, Treasury, and Justice. Some Agencies are required like CIA and NSA, both respectively focused on defense against real foreign aggressors and not fictitious paranoid delusions of war mongers. Other agencies help where certain interstate communications are necessary. Most agencies like Agriculture, Education, DEA, IRS (eliminated with 16th Amendment) and many other listed here should be eliminated.
Restore the world Gold Standard with five contentious steps, and
Replace the IMF, World Bank, and Export-Import Bank with facilities that reflect the new Gold Standard, and
After decentralizing and economizing, if tax revenue is needed to fund all or part of the federal government, then implement the Fair Tax.
Regarding a Constitutional Convention itself, some of the available literature warns the reader about a possible "unstructured" and "mismanaged"
Convention that might propose and adopt amendments that could damage the Republic.
Possible, however, it is difficult to envisage how much more damage could done over what the L-E-J Cabal has already done.
If the Convention's agenda and rules of order strictly prohibit violation of the rules and enable a vote on unlisted Amendments AFTER all others are adopted,
then the Convention will be properly structured and managed. ]
The FairTax is a consumption tax unilaterally applied to all Americans at the same rate. For businesses, payroll taxes would no longer exist. Our exports would include a heavy tax for overseas buyers purchasing our products, while our imports would be cheaper for us to purchase. I'm not sure how this would affect GDP, as more information is necessary.
According to the FairTax website, "Under the FairTax, every person living in the United States pays a sales tax on purchases of new goods and services, excluding necessities due to the prebate." The prebate gives every legal resident household an "advance refund" at the beginning of each month so that purchases made up to the poverty level are tax-free.
So a family of four making something like $50,000/year should not have to pay taxes, thus preventing an unfair burden on low-income families. Since the FairTax eliminates both federal and payroll taxes, you get to keep your gross pay amount of each paycheck earned.
John Adams said, �Without [term limits] every man in power becomes a ravenous beast of prey�. That being said, here are some of the reasons we believe our country needs Term Limits.
Term Limits can help break the cycle of corruption in Congress. Case studies show that the longer an individual stays in office, the more likely they are to stop serving the public and begin serving their own interests.
Term Limits will encourage regular citizens to run for office. Presently, there is a 94% re-election rate in the House and 83% in the Senate. Because of name recognition, and usually the advantage of money, it can be easy to stay in office. Without legitimate competition, what is the incentive for a member of Congress to serve the public? Furthermore, it is almost a lost cause for the average citizen to try to campaign against current members of Congress.
Term Limits will break the power special interest groups have in Congress.
Term Limits will force politicians to think about the impact of their legislation because they will be returning to their communities shortly to live under the laws they enacted.
Term Limits will bring diversity of people and fresh ideas to Congress.
[Editor's Note: If you want to get rich, i.e. advance from a low paying government bureaucrat job on the local or state level, THEN GET ELECTED TO THE US CONGRESS (House or Senate). Once you're elected, it's easy to steal from your campaign contributions or the Congressional budget allocated to your seat and staff. You can go on a government-funded junket with 'lavishly' paid expenses. The list of ways to steal from the government while in office is inexhaustible. There are only a few Congressmen who left Congress just wealthy instead of a multi-millionaire. Of course, there are several who arrived in Congress as multi-millionaires and don't need to steal from the government.]
