The problem with ‘Medicare for All.’

Democrats will take control of the House of Representatives on Jan. 3 and taxpayers can expect a major push for total government control over the American health care system. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, leader of the Medicare for All Caucus, is rewriting the House bill to make it look more like the Senate bill authored by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. Both bills would outlaw virtually all private and employer-sponsored health plans that currently cover 181 million Americans. Millions of federal workers and their families who get their coverage today through the popular and successful Federal Health Benefits Program would also lose their health plans.

Capitalist Healthcare is Better than 'Deathcare'!

[Editor's Note: Throughout the world when Socialist/Communist governments have foisted government-run healthcare on their citizens, the result has always caused a shortage of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, a shortage of healthcare personnel, a shortage of doctors and advanced nursing care. All of these shortages cause long waiting times for doctor visits, hospital services, surgery, and outpatient facilities. The most egregious effect of Socialist healthcare is a very significant increase in premature death and a shortening of the average lifespan of the population. Instead of healthcare, one might call this 'deathcare'.

American 'Seniors'—citizens of age 65 and older—since July, 1965 have paid a portion of each paycheck by withholding until retirement to receive a benefit called Medicare. Medicare pays 80% of a given senior's healthcare expenses requiring additional insurance coverage for the 20% not covered. So, with the "Medicare-for-All" proposal, seniors will be sharing their 'paid-in-capital' (present value calculations yield big dollars from seniors over 30 years) with everyone probably including Illegal Aliens. I am sure that most Americans, not just seniors, are extremely opposed to this Socialist, very costly ($32 trillion over 10 yrs) government control policy that will inevitably fail.

The primary reason that Democrats(Socialists) push government-run healthcare is to "equalize" healthcare for all, but the result is mediocrity for all or death. While healthcare inflation in the USA runs in the high single digits, and health insurance costs increase more than healthcare itself, there are many competent doctors and hospitals in most regions throughout the country. Bad doctors, hospitals, and drugs can be eliminated by regulations and lawsuits. Healthcare inflation including doctors, hospitals, and outpatient clinics must be reduced to the annual inflation rate. ]
